Super duplex steel forged fittings are produced with a two-phase microstructure of austenite and ferrite, having an evenly balanced chemical composition of 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, along with nitrogen and manganese. This hybrid offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The fittings tend to have a tensile strength of more than 750 MPa, yield strength of about 550 MPa, and elongation of about 25%. Their increased mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion make them suitable for highly stressed aggressive conditions, providing long service life and consistent performance under harsh operating conditions.
