904L Stainless Steel forged fittings are produced from a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), and copper (1–2%), with the base as iron. This alloy provides superb resistance to corrosive conditions, especially in minimizing acids such as sulfuric acid. SS 904L has a mechanical tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa, yield strength of 220 MPa, and elongation of more than 35%, providing superior toughness and flexibility. These forged fittings are stable in their mechanical properties even in high stress and high-temperature conditions, which makes them suitable for harsh industrial use demanding both strength and corrosion properties.
