Forged fittings of stainless steel 347/347H consist primarily of iron, chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), columbium (niobium), and carbon, with the content of 347H being higher in carbon for enhanced high-temperature strength. These grades have superior mechanical characteristics, such as a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and satisfactory creep resistance. Stainless steel 347/347H forged fittings are provided in several forms, including elbows, tees, unions, couplings, crosses, and reducers. They are created to ensure high mechanical strength, superior weldability, and stability at high temperatures, and hence they are suitable for major industrial applications.
