Stainless Steel 304 Buttweld Fittings consist of chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–10.5%), and low carbon (up to 0.08%) with iron as the base element. These fittings provide a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. SS 304 has good mechanical properties even at subzero temperatures and is very resistant to oxidation and corrosion under extensive atmospheres.
