321 / 321H Stainless Steel Buttweld Fittings consist of chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–12%), and titanium (at least 5 times the percentage of carbon). SS 321H has higher carbon (0.04–0.10%) for enhanced high-temperature strength and creep resistance. These alloys exhibit a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. Both grades exhibit excellent resistance to oxidation and scaling at high temperatures up to 900°C. The titanium stabilization avoids carbide precipitation on welding, maintaining corrosion resistance and structural integrity in high-heat applications.
