Stainless Steel 347 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that has been stabilized with respect to carbon and is generally composed of iron, chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and minor content of columbium (niobium) and tantalum. It provides superb resistance to intergranular corrosion and retains mechanical strength even in high temperatures. Its tensile strength is about 515 MPa, yield strength is about 205 MPa, and the minimum elongation is 40%. Its Brinell hardness ranges between 160 to 220 HB.
