Stainless steel 347H is a high-carbon variant of SS 347, intended to have increased creep resistance and high-temperature strength. It has 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and a higher carbon of up to 0.10% for enhanced mechanical performance. It is stabilized with niobium and is resistant to intergranular corrosion and carbide precipitation. Its average tensile strength is approximately 515 MPa, with a yield strength of 205 MPa and 40% elongation. Its hardness is in the 160 to 220 Brinell range. Such characteristics render SS 347H pipe fittings suitable for use in high-heat, pressure-driven, and corrosive industrial operations.
